FUNCTION
Inspired by previous spatial experiences I was interested in spatial representation which created the illusion of depth.
CONTEXT
During our encounters with spaces we often associate entirely different spatial positions with objects found in a given field: an example, perhaps, is an room interior imitating the scale and form of the world as viewed from a window.
CONCEPT
The illusory, misleading transformation of space comes to be if the elements existing in a space provoke further associations regarding their character and spatial relationship to each other.
PROCESS
The paintings were done at the Imerys-Apta Hungary Fireproof-materials factory in Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary. As “canvases” I used the specialty board materials produced at the factory for kiln firing trays.
